iSeries 2.0
collect them all
Innovation and creation, that's what it's all about at iWink and in the rest of our environment. Every day we are surprised by special personal actions and surprising events. The iSerie is a small gift to celebrate this special moment.
Ten years ago we thought it would be fun to give something special instead of a flower or a wine at a special event. We therefore asked artist Menno Schreuder to create twelve unique illustrations (the iSeries 1.0) for twelve different occasions. We gave away many of them and the recipients were always pleasantly surprised. But after ten years we thought it was time for something new. And that has come: iSerie 2.0. This time we asked not one artist to make an illustration, but eight different ones. And for each occasion Stefan Nieuwenhuis wrote a matching poem.
View the different iSeries below. Stefan's fantastic poems on the back of the illustrations best describe when and why we specifically give this iSerie, but we don't show it here. For that you will really have to get your own iSerie.
' to say thank you'
Designed by Joren Joshua from the 'Wild West' of the Netherlands where he serves his pertly and playful illustrations for the cool.
'we understand that'
Designed by Mark Nannen. Mark is a digital designer and has worked at iWink for more than 6 years. He also made the mural at our office in Groningen.
' going is also leaving something behind'
Designed by the Groningen artist (modern painter / sculptor / cross media artist) Oscar Venema. Oscar is also the creator of "The Beast", the artwork in our office in Groningen.
'love the new future'
Designed by the Groningen graphic designer and illustrator Menno Schreuder. Menno was also the creator of the complete iSeries 1.0.
'happiness in the small'
Designed by Jeen Berting. Jeen is a visual designer from Amsterdam Arnhem and is also the designer of our iWink logo.
'take a moment'
An illustration of Tim Berners Lee. The 'creator of the internet'. This illustration is also larger than life-size in our office in Groningen. Designed by Mitch Boyer. Mitch is a Photo Retoucher and Fine Art Printer from New York.
'you have something magnificent'
Designed by Decootje (Claudia Vaandrager). Not to put in one box. Works in the illustrative, art, painting and decoration field. Made our office in Groningen much nicer in various places with floor and wall illustrations.
'what you leave behind'
Designed by the Dutch illustrator Michiel Baumgarten. Michiel also makes explanimations (expensive word for explanation videos). He made one for iWink as well.
Stefan Nieuwenhuis
Stefan is a comic critic, journalist, former city poet from Groningen and creator of the poems printed on the back of each iSerie and beautifully describes why we give the iSerie. Stefan does not like being in the picture, so we have included one of his poems he once wrote for iWink below. We gave this poem as a gift to Gasunie in honor of their 50th anniversary.
