The new website gives HZPC the right brand experience in every country

The company HZPC has been fragmented in its online presence until now. Through this project, we have transformed this, together with Clockwork and HZPC, into a unified global identity for HZPC. This new website is oriented towards both informational and product content, serving a wide range of audiences - from seed potato growers to buyers at chips factories.
Where some see a potato, we see a world of possibilities
HZPC is founded in 1898. The head office is located in Joure. HZPC has grown into an international market leader in potato breeding, seed potato trade and product concept development. Seed potatoes are exported to approximately 95 countries. With about 400 employees - spread over 15 different countries - HZPC contributes to healthy food for millions of people worldwide.
A story of more than a 100 years old
The same brand experience everywhere
At the start of this project, HZPC gave its brand an update. Due to the decentralisation on a country level, there was a significant disparity in experience and fragmentation in the online environment. The brand strategy and development of the new visual identity for HZPC were undertaken by Clockwork Amsterdam. The logo was revised, now featuring a globe, sunrays, and field lines. Red has traditionally been a branding color, with the addition of gold representing the potato and quality. Furthermore, improving the customer journey and maintaining a strong online presence were also key priorities in this process.
We had a clear picture of where we wanted to go. The iWink team challenged us, and always surprised us positively by developing user-friendly solutions for this in iWink CMS.
Direct connection with external system, making double work a thing of the past
Cultivation advice is given online for each potato variety, so that the farmer can get the best results from the harvest. This data comes from HZPC's ERP system, which is displayed on the website via the CMS. When HZPC changes something in the ERP, it is also directly visible on the website via this connection. This means no extra manual actions for HZPC and always the correct information from the source data.
A bit of online freedom for every international office
A template has been set up within the CMS for the international offices, where they can present themselves. This template ensures that the corporate style and marketing strategy are maintained while each office can add their own content.
New technique & animations
This project was built on our new iWink 5.0 CMS where the user experience is super good due to the speed. iWink CMS 5.0 also makes it possible to add animations to the website. An example of this can be found on the 'About us' page: content blocks that appear by scrolling and photos that move subtly. This made this a fantastic project to work on for our entire team.
